We finally got to see the Psychonauts 2 gameplay trailer at The Game Awards. Raz is returning in the sequel of the game along with his acrobatic skills and psychic powers to traverse the puzzling environments of Psychonauts 2. The game is developed by Double Fine and they have listed the game to release sometime in 2019.

Psychonauts 2 gameplay was very much awaited since long. Raz is back in the game and the trailer also showed first look of Psychonaut HQ and the Motherlobe. If you could not watch the trailer at The Game Awards, watch here.

The game was announced for the first time back at The Game Awards 2015. Double Fine and game director Tim Schafer initially planned to release the game this year, but, there were financial problems which halted the development process. Double Fine then sought to generate an estimated money of US$3.3 million from crowd-funding and investment drive through Fig. The campaign was well received and it generated a total of US$4 million by the beginning of 2016.

According to game Director Tim Schafer, Psychonauts 2 will introduce the returning players with Raz’s family, their history, and the curse that continues to affect them. Raz will also explore and experience what ‘Girlfriend’ means to him.

The original Psychonauts released way back in 2005. The game received well from players and it was highly praised by critics for its characters and writing. The game journalists regarded the game under the list of games who deserve a proper sequel.

Psychonauts 2 will also be a third-person game very much like its predecessor. Raz will return with his telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and levitation powerful psychic abilities. Brace yourselves for more adventure ahead.
