Red Dead Redemption 2 will need 105GB on PS4, 30 Day Early Access on Content

Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar Games recently announced their new Red Dead Redemption 2’s exclusive PlayStation 4 Pro bundle, which has revealed some extra information about the game such as how much space will be required for the game installation, how many players can play the online in a single game and what the platform bonuses are for players playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4.

Well we have answers for all these questions thanks to the box reveal of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead Redemption is aiming to be a very strong contender for Game of the Year 2018 and as new updates are pouring in, we can surely support our motion on this. Let us dive in all new information revealed about Red Dead Redemption 2 thanks to the fine print of Red Dead Redemption 2’s PS4 Pro Bundle.

Starting with the game size and Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to take a whopping 105GB in your HDD. This can be alarming for players who are still using the 500GB HDD base models as this amounts to almost 20% of the total HDD space. Having said that, the 105GB mentioned on the box is just the minimum space required for the game install.

The game will get regular updates to its Online feature as well as other game content will also be released once the game has launched so it is obvious that this size will only increase in future. So if players want to play other titles as well with Red Dead Redemption 2 installed, now will be a good time to invest in a newer model or an external HDD.

Coming to next big thing is the huge content window that PS4 players will be getting on playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on their consoles. The fine print mentions that the PS4 players will get DLC content 30 days before Xbox which is a huge time difference. This is perhaps due to the fact that Rockstar Games and Sony announced their partnership some time ago on their official blog.

According to their blog release, it was mentioned that PS4 players will get timed exclusive DLC whether it is story DLC or Online DLC. The 30-day window is mentioned on the fine print of the PS4 Pro bundle so this has been revealed only now and this is indeed a big time window. Coming to Red Dead Online, the fine print also had something to reveal about it as well.

It is mentioned on the fine print that Red Dead Online will support up to 32 players. Further details of how the servers will manage these 32 players or how they will partnered or teamed up with is not yet known. Only the figure 32 players has been revealed so far therefore we will have to wait for some sort of announcement by Rockstar Games on this.

Red Dead Redemption is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on October 26, 2018.
