Spellbreak is an upcoming battle royale game by Proletariat Inc, with its gameplay teaser revealed showing its alpha gameplay. In Spellbreak, you weave together spectacular spell combinations and craft strategic builds in your quest for survival.
The game is still in pre-alpha phase and the developers are looking for testers. To be a part of pre-alpha, you can sign up over at the official site by registering your email address, or by taking a survey on the website. Check out the gameplay teaser video:
As a pre-alpha tester, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at development, be able to play early builds, and have the opportunity to provide direct feedback to the Proletariat team.
In Spellbreak you fight like in any battle royale game but with spells and huge explosions to destroy your opponents. Depending on your class, you can pick up gauntlets which are enchanted with certain abilities. So far there are 11 classes that you can use to deal different damage on opponents. There are different types of damages that you can use as a combo for a more devastating blow to your enemy. The damage types that are known so far are:
- Fire
- Lightning
- Ice
- Stone
- Wind
- Poison
The game is only available for PC gamers for now and there doesn’t seem to be any indication that the developers will be bringing out a console version of the game. Once developer on Reddit has said, “The pre-alpha for Spellbreak is on PC only. We would love to do additional platforms in the future but don’t have anything to announce right now. I do think the game would feel good on a controller.”
