Japanese publisher GameTomo has announced the release date of its indie cult hit Project Nimbus: Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch. The anime-inspired mech combat game is coming out on Nintendo’s flagship console next month and it includes never-before-seen content specially made for the western markets.
Project Nimbus: Complete Edition is the latest and the most complete version of the cult mecha game which was designed and developed by GameCrafterTeam and GameTomo. Nintendo Switch version comes with the original game’s full story as well as brand new modes that have been developed to please the American and European markets.
The game is set in a far future Earth where three factions are engaged in the battle for the remains of a planet. These wars are waged with the help of powerful Battle Frames heavily inspired by the classic mecha of Japanese anime. With the help of these Battle Frames, players will engage in deadly, fast-paced combat across a wide variety of battlefields on the ground, air or even space.

The Nintendo Switch version comes with two new modes which include an improved Survival mode and WARFRONT. Survival will pit players against endless waves of enemies and players will try to survive as long as possible in the shoes of an Ace mecha pilot. WARFRONT is similar to Survival however along with endless enemy waves, players will also get some objectives which must be completed.
Nintendo Switch version also comes with additional control options, thanks to the console’s versatility. Players can play the game in both Docked or Handheld mode giving players the freedom to play the game wherever they go. The game also supports Nintendo Switch’s Pro controller which will offer the ultimate gaming experience to players.

- A sprawling storyline with battles between three different factions over a war-torn futuristic planet: the US-lead CFN, the Russia-led UCN, and the shadowy terrorist Children of Fallen Nations.
- Complex bosses each with a unique fighting style, including orbiting nuclear battle mechs, bands of deadly pilots, and weaponized flying ships.
- Missiles, rail guns and cannons for long range combat…energy blades and blade rushes for melee!
