Pokemon TCG VSTAR

The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield – Brilliant Stars will include the new Pokemon VSTAR gameplay mechanic. The Sword & Shield – Brilliant Stars is the brand-new expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game and it is slated to arrive in the first quarter of 2022 where players will be able to experience the all-new Pokemon VSTAR gameplay mechanic as well.

Pokemon VSTAR evolves from Pokemon V and will play a vital role in the Pokemon TCG metagame. Each Pokemon VSTAR has a VSTAR Power which could be an Ability or attack and it comes with an extremely powerful effect that can decide the outcome of a battle. Players can only use one VSTAR Power per game and those who use the VSTAR Power must flip over a VSTAR marker during the battle.

Along with the VSTAR Powers, Pokemon VSTAR also comes with high HP and high-damage attacks. When knocked out, they will also give two Prize Cards. You can look forward to seeing Arceus VSTAR, Charizard VSTAR, Shaymin VSTAR, and Whimsicott VSTAR in Sword & Shield—Brilliant Stars. Sword & Shield—Brilliant Stars will be available in the form of booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and special collections. It will include the following items:

  • 20 Pokémon V and 15 full-art Pokémon V
