Publisher Playtonic Friends has announced that it will be publishing the title CorpoNation: The Sorting Process developed by Canteen. CorpoNation: The Sorting Process features a linear dystopian narrative where you play as an employee of a corporate state tasked with organizing sensitive and undisclosed genetic samples.
You can check out the brand-new reveal trailer for CorpoNation: The Sorting Process below that also showcases gameplay as well as story bits of the title:
In CorpoNation: The Sorting Process, you join as an employee of The Ringo CorpoNation, a corporate entity. You are a Lab Technician whose main goal is to handle genetic samples and your main tasks in the game include:
- Genetic Sample Sorting
- Not asking unnecessary questions
- Avoid contact with disgruntled employees determined to tarnish the company’s stellar reputation with defamatory accusations
Keep this up and you will be considered a loyal employee of The Ringo CorpoNation however if different other companies will try to entice you into betraying your employer and it will be up to you to make your own choices. The company does not consider it likely to make mistakes as genetic sampling is an extremely important task. There is a lot of emphasis on working hard which means that your employer does not take too kindly to employees who slack off while working. At the end of the day, you will earn credits that you will use to shop, play games and pay your bills on time.
Any items that you purchase with your credits will be used to decorate your room and the game will also feature a leaderboard where you can check your rankings and try to beat other players during your next shift. The UI appears to be pretty simple as the trailer shows the samples being sorted into four different categories of Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Zeta. Additional gameplay details will be revealed in the upcoming months.
A Steam page for CorpoNation: The Sorting Process is now live where you can check out additional details and add the game to your wishlist as well. The game is slated for a 2023 release however a confirmed release date will be announced later.
