Everything Announced in the PlayStation Showcase 2021 Event

Sony just concluded its PlayStation Showcase 2021 event and it featured some major reveals for upcoming games on the PlayStation 5. From major titles that are planned for next year to games coming this year, there was a lot that took us by surprise.

Now if for some reason you missed the PlayStation Showcase 2021 livestream, we have listed everything that was announced. Trust us when we say, you don’t want to miss this.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake

The Showcase started with a new trailer of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake for the PlayStation 5. We didn’t get any further details, especially when we talk about a release date. But we got a new trailer in any case.

Project Eve

Project Eve was the first of the games that gave us a taste of what is to come on the new PlayStation 5 console. What we do know is that it is an action-adventure game that takes place in the not-too-distant future on the ruined Earth against unknown enemies.

Accompany the powerful heroine Eve, join forces with comrades along the way, and take up the challenge against the tough adventure

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Embark on an epic adventure full of whimsy, wonder, and high-powered weaponry! Bullets, magic, and broadswords collide across this chaotic fantasy world brought to life by the unpredictable Tiny Tina.

Forspoken

Another one of those games that gets you excited just by looking at a few glimpses of the gameplay. Forspoken is set to arrive on the PlayStation 5 in Spring 2022.

Mysteriously transported from New York City, Frey Holland finds herself trapped in the beautiful and cruel land of Athia with a magical, sentient bracelet wrapped around her arm. Her new, cynical companion “Cuff” helps Frey navigate through the sprawling landscapes of Athia.

In search of a way home, Frey will battle monstrous creatures, confront the powerful Tantas, and uncover secrets that awaken something much more from within.

Rainbow Six Extraction

We also got a new trailer for Rainbow Six Extraction. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will be available in January 2022 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Stadia and PC

Alan Wake Remastered

Alan Wake Remastered is not that far away, but the remastered version of the game is landing on the PlayStation 5 in less than a month on October 5.

Grand Theft Auto V

Rockstar is out here squeezing every last drop of Grand Theft Auto V with yet another new trailer showing us absolutely nothing new. Except for a few gameplay improvements taking advantage of the PlayStation 5, Grand Theft Auto V has been pushed to release in March 2022.

Ghostwire Tokyo

Ghostwire Tokyo gets a release window reveal where you can expect it to launch on the PlayStation 5 in Spring 2022.

Tokyo is overrun by deadly supernatural forces, perpetrated by a dangerous occultist known as Hannya, causing Tokyo’s population to vanish in an instant. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

With a new story trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy, you should be excited as it launches next month on October 26.

Vampire the Masquerade Blood Hunt

Join the Bloodhunt and become the ultimate vampire! Bloodhunt is a free battle royale game set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. A treacherous betrayal has stirred a war amongst the vampires, who are also being targeted for annihilation by a secret society known as the Entity. Use your supernatural powers, weapons and wits in this thrilling battle royale game to dominate the night and restore the Masquerade.

Deathloop

Deathloop is just a few days away as it launches next week on September 14 exclusively on the PlayStation 5.

Kid A Mnesia Exhibition

An upside-down digital/analogue universe created from original artwork and recordings to commemorate 21 years of Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac. Coming in November 2021.

Tchia

A Tropical Open-World adventure. Climb, glide, swim, and sail your boat around a beautiful archipelago in this physics-driven sandbox. Use Tchia’s Soul Jumping ability to take control of any animal or object you can find, and Jam on your fully playable Ukulele. A game inspired by New Caledonia.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

Both Uncharted 4 and the Uncharted Lost Legacy are coming in the Legacy of Thieves Collection sometime early next year on the PS5 and PC.

Marvel’s Wolverine

One of the biggest surprises came from Insomniac Games with a teaser trailer of Marvel’s Wolverine. The game is currently in development and will release sometime in 2023.

Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 got a brand spanking new trailer alongside the release date announcement. The game launch on 4 March on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Yet another biggest surprise of the Showcase was the announcement of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The sequel to the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man is coming to the PlayStation 5 in 2023, the same year as Marvel’s Wolverine

God of War Ragnarok

And finally, we got the first look at the action-filled God of War Ragnarok trailer showing Kratos and his son Atreus in action yet again. We do know that the game takes place years after the first game, with Thor and Freya as the two main Antagonists.
