Daybreak has yet delayed PlanetSide Arena once again and now the new release window for release is Summer 2019. However along with this delay, the developer has also announced about a PS4 version release.
PlanetSide Arena was originally coming out in January but later it was delayed into March 2019. After this delay, the developer has now delayed the game again however it might seem that the developer wants to release on both platforms simultaneously.
This was announced by Daybreak on their official website. You can check out the original announcement below.
After much consideration, we’ve decided to postpone the current PC-only release date and launch simultaneously across PC and PlayStation 4 this summer. We’ve always envisioned PlanetSide Arena as a way for players to experience the epic gameplay of the PlanetSide universe, through fast-paced, combined arms combat and massive-scale multiplayer modes. We believe that delivering the most polished version of PlanetSide Arena that meets these expectations, on both platforms, outweighs any other consideration.
In this announcement, Daybreak also announced that they are going to re-fund all of PlanetSide Arena’s pre-orders on Steam. The developer also expressed its gratitude to all fans of the franchise who tested out the game in its beta phase.
Future plans for PlanetSide Arena also include continuation and expansion of the Beta testing program. More details on this will be shared in the future and since a PS4 launch is now in the works, we might get a PS4 beta as well. However, no information on this has been revealed at this point.
PlanetSide Arena is a massive-scale sci-fi arena shooter that allows players to pick any class of their liking, strap on their jetpack, and drop down on the war-torn Auraxis. You can check out the trailer for the title below.
