Players Getting Physical Discs of Spyro Reignited Trilogy Will Have 19GB Day One Update

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Just like most of modern games, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is also coming with a rather huge update on the first day of launch however it is a little different than other game updates. Players will need to download Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! And Spyro: Year of the Dragon as they are not included on the disc.

Toys For Bob earlier mentioned that the physical discs will only contain the first game of the trilogy and the remaining two games will be included in the form of a download. Everyone who inserts the disc will be able to install only the first game while the remaining two titles will start downloading at the same time and the size of the download is around 19GB.

Some of the players seemed to be getting there copies pretty early and have been revealing size information about the game on Reddit. The total size of all three games is 67.5GB on PS4 while before the update it is 31.5GB. Compared to Xbox One, the game sits at 36.25GB for the full game. This is a massive size difference for the two consoles relating to a same game.

It has also been reported that despite not being on the disc, you will not be able to play the second and third game without inserting the disc. You will still need to insert the disc and then play any of the three games. This makes the disc pretty useless in the whole scenario since the disc copy size as revealed by players is only 9GB.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy brings back the three classic Spyro games remastered on the modern consoles in stunning detail. The three titles included in the Trilogy are Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

Earlier, reports also emerged that a Spyro and Crash Bandicoot bundle is coming for PS4 and Xbox One which will have six of the best childhood games in remastered form. You can check more on the bundle here.
