Octopath Traveler 2 Fast Travel Guide

Fast travel is a feature that is easily unlocked, saving you plenty of time when you need to travel from one point on the map to the other. But when does it become available in the game? This Octopath Traveler 2 Fast Travel Guide will show you how to unlock fast traveling and how you can use it to move freely on the map.

Octopath Traveler 2 Fast Travel Guide

Fast Travel becomes available when you complete Chapter 1, allowing almost all of your characters to visit villages and cities that you have previously been to. The only exception to this is Osvald, who can only fast travel when you complete the second chapter of his story, and then visits any other town.

When you do get to fast travel, you can only do so by going to any town or village that you have previously visited at least once. This means that you still have to go through each town or village once. In addition, fast traveling is also restricted to these areas as fast travel points. You cannot teleport to a random place on the map, but close to it if you have a town or village nearby.

The process of fast traveling is pretty simple and can be done so by going to the game’s world map on the main menu of the game by pressing the X or Triangle button (depending on the platform you are playing on)

On the World Map, scroll to the village or town that you want to teleport to. The option to fast travel will appear on top of the location, provided that you have previously visited this spot. Once ready, press the X or A button to fast travel and you will reach your destination in seconds.
