Notre-Dame Cathedral Rebuild Can Use Assassin’s Creed: Unity

Notre-Dame Cathedral

The main spire of the Notre-Dame Cathedral collapsed due to a fire recently and people from all around the world are offering help in order to rebuild the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Help from an unlikely source, Assassin’s Creed: Unity, from Ubisoft, can also be used.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity might not be the most popular game in the franchise but it does have the Notre-Dame. Ubisoft level designer Caroline Miousse spent two years in order to extract as much detail possible from the Notre-Dame in order to put it into Assassin’s Creed: Unity.

She mentioned that while she did work on other things as well 80% of her time was taken by the Notre-Dame Cathedral. Assassin’s Creed is known for realistic depictions of historical monuments and the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Assassin’s Creed: Unity is no exception.

Ubisoft does have 3D maps of the building which will come in handy when it comes to rebuilding it. We are not sure whether or not Ubisoft is going to offer help but it could and it should. We will let you know more about the matter when we have more news so stay tuned.

A few hits of an upcoming Assassin’s Creed game have been found in The Division 2 and it is possible that the upcoming game will have a Viking theme. That would be very interesting indeed. Vikings could be an interesting theme and I hope that Ubisoft can add some interesting features to the game according to the theme. People might have had enough of the same old mechanics and should get something fresh.

Let us know what you think about Assassin’s Creed: Unity potentially playing a major role in rebuilding the Notre-Dame Cathedral and whether or not this is something that you are interested in.
