Nintendo Has No Plans to Reveal New Console at E3 2019

No Nintendo Console E3

Nintendo has no plans to reveal the new versions of Nintendo Switch console during this year’s E3 event in June. Earlier we got some rumors and leaks that Nintendo Switch Mini might arrive sometime around July or August but it seems that the reveal is not planned for E3 2019. Although Nintendo might reveal something during its Nintendo Direct events around the same time frame.

This was revealed by Nintendo president and CEO Shuntaro Furukawa during the company’s financial briefing held today. This cancels out the prospect of a new version of Nintendo Switch coming out in the same time frame. We know at this point that Nintendo is planning to release two new versions of Nintendo Switch in the future.

During the announcement, Furukawa also mentioned that Nintendo might not have any new hardware announcements at E3 2019 but the company is always developing hardware internally. This gives us a little hint that even the reveal is not planned for E3 2019, it might eventually come a little bit down the month or the next one.

One of these versions will be smaller and more portable while the other version will feature beefed up hardware and will have better frames and performance than the standard or the portable version of Nintendo Switch. Even in its current state, Nintendo Switch is doing great in terms of sales and has been topping the sales charts when directly compared to its more powerful competitors PS4 and Xbox One.

You can also check out some recent releases on Nintendo Switch which include Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Respawn also stated that they cannot promise anything on the prospect of bringing Apex Legends to Nintendo Switch at this time however the title may eventually come to the console sometime in the future.
