Possible Next Doom Game Teased by Designer John Romero

The very first Doom game released on December 10, 1993 on MS-DOS and now designer John Romero is teasing at a possible next Doom game on 25th Anniversary. The last Doom game released in 2016 and it was a complete reboot of the franchise that started decades ago. John Romero will reveal more information today.

John Romero in a brief email to fans posted an image which has a new colored logo of Doom along with a text saying, ”Prepare for 5”. We clearly can not say what he meant from Prepare for 5, however, the previous Doom game was fourth game in the installment after Doom 3 which released back in 2004. Could this mean the text is hinting for next Doom game?

Courtesy to PCgamer, who uploaded the image of the email which John Romero forwarded and hinted what next fans can expect from his upcoming project. The text in the email further says:

25 years ago Doom was released on December 10th. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Romero Games will announce pre-orders for a project John just completed. If you have been following John Romero’s Instagram you would have seen the hints. What looked like a countdown to Doom’s birthday became suddenly mysterious. You’ll receive another email on Monday announcing this new project, and have the opportunity to pre-order it.

That is everything to know from the email message. We could speculate a lot of things from the email message but we are settling down for now. John Romero has already mentioned that more will be revealed of his project tomorrow, which is actually today.
