New Tomb Raider Game Coming To PS5 And Xbox Anaconda

Tomb Raider Unreal Engine 5

The Tomb Raider Trilogy has come to an end with The Shadow of the Tomb Raider but this is not the last Tomb Raider that we are going to get. It seems that developers are working on a new title that will be released for the PS5 and Xbox Anaconda.

Eidos Montreal expects more games in the future. Producer of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Jonathan Dahan talked about the future of the franchise and the following is what he had to say in this regard:

I’d be extremely surprised if we didn’t see more of it. We’re not able to say anything about what’s happening next, but I’d be very surprised if we didn’t hear more about the franchise.

Keeping in mind that Shadow of the Tomb Raider came out last year and that the upcoming next generation of consoles is not going to be out until 2020, it is more than likely that we will have to wait a while before the next Tomb Raider game is released.

Lara Croft is one of the most iconic characters in gaming and it is not surprising to learn that more games are coming in the future. Shadow of the Tomb Raider did have a shaky launch but the game has got DLC and has done well all things considered. I am looking forward to playing the new games on the next generation of consoles.

Tomb Raider

It is possible that the new Tomb Raider game will run at 4K 60 FPS on the new consoles but let’s not get carries away. I will believe it when I see it. Nude modes for the most recent game have been released and if you want to take Lara’s clothes off or change into a sexy outfit then you could do that. The latest game in the franchise is available on Xbox Game Pass and you can check it out if you have subscribed to the service.

Dahan went on to talk about how the team is very happy with what it has done so far and that it is looking forward to making new games. The following is what he had to say in this regard:

We’ve had to learn to work with multiple studios, and we’ve come to have a very good relationship with Crystal Dynamics. Hopefully that’s something we’re going to continue doing because it brings a very nice feel to the games to have people with different experiences and backgrounds working on the game.

Let us know what you think about more Tomb Raider games coming to the next generation of consoles and whether or not this is something that you are interested in checking out.

  1. I wish they will create a game that will encompasses the enter World and beyond. I started writing a script for “The 13 Crystal Skulls Legend” were Lara travels around the World looking for them and setting them up in a Mayan Calendar Temple to reveal the last Crystal Skull which is in the Moon.

Can you imagen with the current technology, the game will last forever, which Crystal Skull will have its own adventure and some will have a specialized Item for the Moon and the Bonus World. tons of quests and collectible items and tasks from the locals and/or elsewhere.

I love Tomb Raider as you can see, hope they will get my idea and run with it for the next generation of Tomb Raider World Edition.

  2. i would love them to give the older games the resident evil remake treatment
with updated graphics and bought to the ps4 and xbox one consoles
especially tomb raider legends playing it on the pc with partial controller support
is boring i like my games with full controll support then partial but an remake
of the old games is better than an brand new one and get keeley hawse back
    as lara for the remake.
