NES Games Switch May

Nintendo has announced that three new games are joining the NES library exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers next week. The three titles will be free to play for all Switch Online subscribers although you have to purchase the online subscription to get access to the NES library on the Switch.

The three new NES games coming to Nintendo Switch Online include Donkey Kong Jr., Clu Clu Land and Vs. Excitebike. All three titles will join the remaining roster of NES titles already added to the Nintendo Switch Online exclusive NES library. Donkey Kong Jr. is the sequel to the iconic Donkey Kong game where you play as the little Donkey Kong Jr.

This game is special in terms because it is the only game in existence where Mario is a villain and is holding Donkey Kong as a hostage and it is up to Donkey Kong Jr. to save it from Mario’s clutches. The game plays in the same iconic 2-D environment as the original Donkey Kong game where Mario keeps throwing obstacles in your path and you must avoid them all in order to reach the top.

Vs. Excitebike is a fun little motorbike game where you can play solo or with another local player using the split-screen feature and try to overcome different obstacles in order to win the race. Each level will throw a different amount of obstacles in your path and you must cross them all on your little dirt bike to cross the finish line in order to win. In split-screen, each player’s course will offer different obstacles to keep things interesting.

The last game coming to Nintendo Switch Online next week is the Clu Clu Land. In this game, you play as a fish and try to complete incomplete squares and shapes in a short amount of time. This is made even more challenging by different enemies roaming around in each land trying to hit you.
