NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Ditches Swords for Lightsabers in New Event

24 Entertainment has announced the latest event for NARAKA: BLADEPOINT where the game will be ditching swords for lightsabers. To celebrate April’s Fools Day, 24 Entertainment has announced that all players who launch into the game will get a chance to unlock an exciting new weapon that is inspired by a certain sci-fi icon. To celebrate the launch of the new lightsaber, the publisher has released a new trailer for the game as well in which we can see Viper Neng wield this powerful new weapon in the game:

As you can see in the trailer above, the lightsaber looks really cool in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT as it unlocks a new perspective of gameplay. With its launch, NARAKA will ditch the clash of blades and will replace it with the familiar hum and crackle of deadly lightsabers which will also bathe the battlefield in its warm blue glow. Players will be able to swap the melee weapons and mythic powers of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT for something a little more otherworldly and you will be able to get access to this exclusive skin for the Longsword by randomly opening chests and crushing items during gameplay.

To unlock this new weapon, you have until April 4, 2023, to add this unique weapon to your collection before it vanishes into hyperspace. For players who manage to unlock this exclusive reward, it will make a fine addition to their collection in the game. Apart from the lightsaber, there are other April Fool’s items to discover too which include quirky outfit options such as the funny canine headwear.

24 Entertainment recently launched Season 7: Untamed for NARAKA: BLADEPOINT and also released Akos Hu, the fifteenth playable character in the game. The developer is also promising plenty of upcoming surprises for 2023 as well so if you are still enjoying your time in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, you have a lot more to look forward to this year. NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is currently available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox.
