New Trailer of Mortal Kombat 11 Features Kitana and D’Vorah

Mortal Kombat 11 characters

In another Kombat Kast, more new characters were shown that are set to come in Mortal Kombat 11, when it launches later this month. The new fighters are Kitana and D’Vorah, who are returning in the series with vastly improved design from previous incarnations.

Both of the female characters are shown in combat against each other in the trailer that was featured in the Kombat Kast. Take a look at the trailer below:

Kitana comes with her trademark attacks, retaining many of her classic moves, includer her square wave attack which is more of a flying hip attack. She also borrows a few moves from her evil twin sister Mileena. However, she also comes with some of her own new moves, some of which are dance inspired like one in which she surrounds herself in a  vortex of fans.

The 10,000-year-old princess of Edenia grew up believing she was Shao Kahn’s biological daughter and served as one of his deadliest warriors. When Kitana learned the truth, she fought against Shao Kahn’s attempted conquest of Earthrealm, eventually dying in battle. After being resurrected as an evil revenant version of her former self, Kitana now rules the Netherrealm alongside revenant Liu Kang, dedicated to the destruction of all the realms.

D’Vorah who was also in the trailer is also another character to be coming in the game. We get to see some of the Kytinn warrior’s new tricks. Unlike how she was in the Mortal Kombat X, this time D’Vorah’s ovipositors are always out and at the ready. She can also birth bugs, though her best ability is when she can still fight even after death.

When she dies, an offspring will fight to avenge its mother. This bib baby big comes with its own movesets, and can spit and stab the opponent. This can make up for some pretty awesome comeback moments in combat.

NetherRealms has also confirmed that Mortal Kombat 11 will only have microtransactions for cosmetic items only, as it features no pay-to-win aspects. What this means is that you can either grind for a character’s outfit, or buy it online.

Mortal Kombat 11 is set to come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch on April 23. Let us know what you think of the two new characters in the game, post your comments below.
