Mortal Kombat 11 DLC Characters Announcement Coming Next Week

Mortal Kombat 11 DLC

Creator Director for Mortal Kombat 11 Ed Boon has announced on Twitter that if everything goes well, the DLC characters for Mortal Kombat 11 will be announced next week. It has been a month since the game was released and now we will soon get to know the remaining DLC characters of the game as well.

We knew that Shang Tsung will be a DLC character for the game as it was revealed even before the release of the title. For the remainder of DLC characters, NetherRealm announced that they will be announced in due time after the release of Mortal Kombat 11. This will the first Kombat Pack and it will add a certain number of new fighters to the roster of Mortal Kombat 11.

Although I was little skeptical that the developer would lock a main franchise character such as Shang Tsung behind a DLC paywall. We will find out next week which other characters are also coming to the game. The announcement will reveal the complete lineup of the first Kombat Pack so we will not have to wait anymore for the announcements like we had to with the character reveal of the base game.

If we are lucky, we might actually get to see the DLC characters in action as well. We would love to see a gameplay trailer which would showcase the DLC characters beating each other and ultimately landing fatalities. Mortal Kombat 11 was released last month on April 23, 2019, and it was received very well by the community.

It was released initially on PS4, PC and Xbox One however the title was later released on Nintendo Switch as well. Mortal Kombat 11 already boasts a decent roster of fighters in the game with some returning and some brand new characters. With the DLC characters added to the game, the roster will increase significantly and will bring some familiar faces back in the mix.

Earlier we got a Mortal Kombat 11 leak as well which revealed some of the DLC fighters coming to the game. Looks like we will be able to know next week whether this leak was right or it was simply another bluff.
