Monster Hunter World Iceborn Will Feature Barioth as a Huntable Monster

In a brand new gameplay reveal video, Game Informer has revealed that Barioth will be coming to Monster Hunter World: Iceborn. Iceborn is the brand new expansion for Monster Hunter World and it brings a brand new icy region to the game for players to explore and hunt brand new monsters that take full advantage of the new environment.

The short video shared by Game Informer was actually sent to them by Capcom and it shoes a turf war between Barioth and the Banbaro which is a brand new monster coming to Monster Hunter World with the Iceborn expansion. Apart from revealing this exclusive video, Game Informer is also planning a month-long exclusive coverage of the game.

If you are a fan of the Monster Hunter franchise, then you would know that Barioth was last seen in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate and is now coming back to the franchise. In Iceborn, Barioth is the king of Hoarfrost Reach and does not take too kindly to other monsters invading its turf as depicted in the short video below.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborn will introduce a brand new icy region to the game and it will also bring with it some brand new monsters for players to kill. Some of the new additions include Banbaro, Beotodus, and Velkhana which is a new elder dragon. Hoarfrost Reach is a harsh and cold environment and players will need to add hot drinks to their menu as well to make sure that they are warm while fighting the monsters.

Earlier we also got to see that Tigrex is also making a comeback with Iceborn to Monster Hunter World along with the Nargacuga Armor. Capcom also shared some videos which showcased the new weapons coming in the expansion so you can check them out as well.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborn is slated for release on PS4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2019, and the PC version is slated for a release later in winter.
