New Lego Star Wars Game Confirmed, Currently In Development

Lego Star Wars

After four years since the last Lego Star Wars Game, it has been confirmed that another Lego Star Wars game is in development by Traveller’s Tales and will be the most ambitious Lego game yet.

The news was probably a slip of the tongue from General Grievous voice actor and Skywalker Sound editor Matthew Wood. Later sources for Eurogamer confirmed that a new game is indeed in development.

Matthew Wood randomly said that he is working on new Lego Star Wars game. from StarWarsLeaks

So many things we’re doing right now, we’ve got Resistance going, Clone Wars going, we’ve got Mandalorian happening, of course, Episode IX happening, there’s a LEGO Star Wars game we’re working on…

The sources also indicated that this will not just be an adaptation of The Last Jedi and Rise of the Skywalker. Though nobody is saying for certain what movies the game would cover, it has been described as the ultimate Lego Star Wars game, which has led many to believe that it will cover the Entire saga up until this point.

The previous game in the franchise was Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens which not only depicted the 2015 film but also the events that occurred between Return of the Jefi, and The Force Awakens.

TT Games and Warner Bros. have found a lot of success in giving already popular franchises a Lego game, but Star Warns has been the publisher and developers most successful franchise ever. So far we have got the adaptations of the prequel trilogy, the original trilogy, the Clone Wars TV show, and The Force Awakens.

A new game that can cover the last two films in a saga would make total sense, and making it an ultimate compilation of Star Wars content would be an added treat for fans.

So far, none of the news has been confirmed by Warner Bros., though an announcement is expected to be made later this year. Perhaps it can be around the time when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters.
