Developers behind Layers of Fear 2 initially hinted earlier this year that they are working on game called Project Melies. Bloober Team, the developers have now revealed that the Project Melies was codenamed for Layers of Fear 2.
They also released a reveal trailer for the game. From the early looks at the trailer, it gives an impression that game does not fall short on horror pattern which first the game set. Check out the official reveal trailer of Layers of Fear 2.
Layers of Fear game series is based on indie horror genre, very much like the cancelled game P.T. If you have played the P.T demo, then you go and play Layers of Fear for the first time, you will get similar vibe of both being a single game. However, that is not true and both games are developed by different teams.
Bloober Team and the game publisher Gun Media did not give any more details on Layers of Fear 2. They even did not mention on which platform the second game will release. However, the first game released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC simultaneously in 2016. Nintendo Switch version of Layers of Fear released earlier this year.
This first game was a smashing success on PC Steam platform. A part of its success was due to the game elements Layers of Fear had from P.T. In 2016, first person horror genre was actually taking its roots in mainstream. There were not many developers making games of this genre. So, that was kind of a new presentation, a new appetite for gamers of that time.
Layers of Fear 2 is set to release some time in 2019. We expect the game to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Steam platform.
