Knights of the Old Republic Movie

It turns out that Lucasfilm is working on a movie for Bioware’s classic Star Wars game Knights of the Old Republic. This was revealed by Buzzfeed who stated that the writer behind Alita: Battle Angel and Shutter Island, Laeta Kalogridis is working on the script and it is nearly complete as well. The game Knights of the Old Republic was originally released in 2003 by Bioware.

According to the timeline, Knights of the Old Republic takes place 4,000 years before the events of the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope and it details the battle between the Republic and the Sith forces which are under the command of Darth Malak. This was one of the best Star Wars games ever made and it will be amazing to see all the characters in the game in the movie.

At this point, further information and details are not known about the movie nor its cast. The only information we got from Buzzfeed was that the writer is nearly done with the script and it could lead to a potential Knights of the Old Republic trilogy which could be amazing if the movie script follows the game events exactly as they are in the game.
