Is Insomniac Games Working on a New Game Secretly?

Insomniac Games Sony

Rumor has it that Insomniac Games might be working on a new title under the shadow of the recently released Marvel’s Spider Man. They just recently released the game and the hint to their next title actually comes from inside the game.

The game features a social media platform, which Peter Parker/Spider Man can access via his phone. This social media app keeps him aware of what the world might be thinking about him and his recent actions in the game.

In this social media app, there is a post by a user whose name seems to be ‘igTedPrice’ who seems to be posting about a new game being announced by Insomniac Games next week. Now, we all know that Ted Price is the Founder and currently CEO of Insomniac Games so it might be an Easter egg where he is referring to a new game announcement coming really soon.

As you can see in the above image, the poster is indeed Ted Price. This could lead us to the fact that Insomniac Games has been working on another game in secret and will announce it now that Marvel’s Spider Man has finally launched.

Considering Insomniac Games past, they have not released a new Ratchet and Clank since the last one came out in 20, and another title missing the action for a long time is Sunset Overdrive. On the other hand, if our wishes would finally come true, a new Resistance game. The franchise ended back on PS3 with Resistance 3 as the final title.

Resistance was a stellar shooter franchise for the PS3 systems and it even received a PSP version. We would love to see Resistance return to the PS4 system and start a new journey in the same world ravaged by the Chimera.

For the time being, we can simply wait and see if the rumors are true and this is actually a purposely-placed Easter egg in the game. If they are really going to announce a new game in a week, then it means that the time is not far away.

Let us know in the comments section below about your thoughts on this and if this is true, which Insomniac Games franchise would you love to see coming back.
