Infold Games has released Infinity Nikki Version 2.2, titled “Chromatic Beings Everbright,” introducing a New Bloom Festival–themed update inspired by Chinese New Year traditions, folklore, and everyday celebrations. The update is now live and brings a new story chapter, limited-time festival activities, fresh outfits, and cultural collaborations.
The Version 2.2 storyline takes Nikki and Momo to the Wanxiang Realm, a land of eternal night illuminated by lanterns, glowing streets, and festival crowds. While the realm initially presents itself as joyful and harmonious, players soon uncover an unsettling structure beneath the surface. Residents known as Chromafaces are assigned rigid roles through Character Tokens, dictating how they live and work. As Nikki assists the locals at Baiqiao Hall, the truth behind the realm’s carefully maintained order begins to emerge.
Infinity Nikki Chromatic Beings Everbright Adds New Narrative, Outfits, and More
The narrative reveals that the Wanxiang Realm was created by an entity named Chroma as a means of saving cursed stone statues, enforcing fixed identities in the belief that control could bring salvation. Nikki ultimately challenges this idea, confronting the illusion that safety can be achieved through imitation and restriction, and arguing instead for freedom of choice as the only path to genuine redemption.
Alongside the story content, Version 2.2 introduces new high-tier outfits that expand traversal and exploration. The five-star outfit Where Wanxiang Weaves Life, inspired by wuxia aesthetics, allows Nikki to shapeshift into Spirit Personas while automatically gathering nearby resources. Chroma’s Mortal Heart grants the power of the Celestial Deer, enabling flight, enhanced movement within the Wanxiang Realm, and treasure detection through Celestial Deer Vision. A new Ability Outfit, Nefarious Shadows, also debuts, revealing hidden paths and disguised magical creatures.
The Wanxiang Realm itself is divided into multiple areas, including the bustling streets of Cai Ye, the quieter and colder Kongming Gorge, and the floating Jiuhua Pavilion, a space defined by music and dance. Players will also encounter the Land of Eternal Daylight, a mysterious region where time appears frozen, and the sun never sets.
Festival-themed gameplay runs throughout the update. Activities include Hotpot House, a co-op cooking and interaction mini-game, Flavor Frenzy, a fast-paced platform challenge starring Momo, and Fortune Mahjong, which offers several tile-based modes playable solo or with others.
Looking beyond the game world, Infinity Nikki Version 2.2 also introduces cultural collaborations. Starting February 14, the game partners with the Dunhuang Fine Arts Institute on the co-op quest “A Millennium in Colors,” featuring mural restoration gameplay inspired by ancient Dunhuang art. Players can earn Dunhuang-themed rewards, including the Flying Apsaras outfit. Additionally, from February 2 to February 20, offline crossover events at select Haidilao Hot Pot locations in Los Angeles and New York will offer mini-games, merchandise, and an in-store AR experience.
Chromatic Beings Everbright continues Infinity Nikki’s trend of pairing whimsical aesthetics with reflective storytelling. By grounding its festival setting in questions of identity, freedom, and imposed roles, the update adds thematic weight beneath its celebratory surface.
Infinity Nikki Version 2.2 is available now, with limited-time events and collaborations running throughout the New Bloom Festival period.
