Developer OnTheHouse Studios and publisher Ten Image Publishing have released a new trailer for their arachnophobia-inducing survival horror game Huntsman. The new trailer showcased during the PC Gaming Show at Tokyo Games Show 2025 shows us exactly why you should avoid this game if you are afraid of spiders. Featuring the biggest of the bunch, you will find yourself being continuously hunted by a massive Huntsman spider. Apart from giving us a small gameplay teaser, the trailer also announced an upcoming Steam demo.

In Huntsman, you are a security guard at Atherton Laboratories, and everything seems to be going normally until the eight-legged specimens escape and infest the hallways. With nothing to defend yourself with and outnumbered by the monsters, your goal is to eliminate the threats and lift the facility lockdown to escape with your life. The trailer reveals that apart from the Huntsmen, players will also come across the Orb Weaver spiders. You will need to learn the behaviors of individual spiders to escape and eliminate them.

Huntsman was a way to help overcome my own fear of spiders, and the incredible feedback from players inspired me to turn the demo into a full game. As my first commercial product, it’s been a thrilling challenge to navigate, and I can’t wait to show everyone what the full game has to offer

Key features of Huntsman include:
- Descend into the Web – Explore a facility overrun by invasive predators. Divert limited power between sections of the building to access new areas, gather vital resources, and outmaneuver the swarm.
- Improvise or Die – Use your flashlight, throwables, and the environment itself to distract, mislead, and evade the deadliest creatures you’ve ever faced. Just remember: one wrong move, and you’re prey.
- Fear Has Eight Legs – Experience arachnophobia like never before! Each spider moves, hunts, and reacts with terrifying realism, triggering primal instincts your mind won’t be able to ignore.
Huntsman’s demo is launching on October 13, 2025, and it will give you a small teaser of what you can expect from the full game. The full game is slated for a PC Steam release in November, and you can add it to your wishlist right now.
