Run Your Hotel in Hell in Hotel Afterlife, Releasing in Late 2020

Hotel Afterlife

Alrauna Studio has announced that it is currently working on a brand new game Hotel Afterlife which is all about running your very own hotel in hell. This hellish tycoon game will be published by Gaming Factory S.A. and will release on PC and consoles in the last quarter of 2020.  Hotel Afterlife is all about the ‘purification of sinful souls’ and will greatly relate with fans who love playing Dungeon Keeper and Two Point Hospital.

You play as the manager of a very unusual hotel which is located in the Inferno Afterlife. This might look like a normal hotel from the outside but the rules are very different on the inside. Instead of caring for and pampering your customers, Hotel Afterlife is all about ‘hosting’ the sinners at your hotel accordingly. As you run your hotel, smooth and efficient management and operations will allow you to climb to the top of the corporate hierarchy.

Hotel Afterlife is strictly a singleplayer experience. The game offers 9 hellish maps which are inspired by hell from Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Apart from the main campaign, players will also be able to play the game at their own will in the Freeplay mode. Apart from the main theme of the game, developers are also considering a different number of additions based on mythologies and cultures from around the world.

Game designer at Alrauna Studio, Michal Stonawski comments:

Hotel Afterlife is not a five-star hotel full of luxury but a very specific place. It is a kind of purification of sinful souls. In this world, the currency will not be dollars, yen, euro or cryptocurrencies but simply sins. Our game will provide many opportunities and will release the creative potential of players. The gameplay will focus on building, personalizing soul purification and various economic elements. There will also be a good level of ambiguous humor and references to pop culture and politics.

Players will be able to build their hotel from scratch which includes putting down floors and different rooms. They will have a large number of attractions to place at their disposal as well. Since this is Hotel Afterlife, attractions mostly include different types of torture devices. The game also includes different managerial mechanics such as managing staff and finances of the hotel.

Mateusz Adamkiewicz, CEO of Gaming Factory S.A. also comments:

This hellish tycoon will combine elaborate strategic and economic elements and a lot of black humor. Hotel Afterlife should appeal especially to players who appreciate games in the style of Two Point Hospital, Dungeon Keeper, Hotel Giant or Prison Architect.

Key features of Hotel Afterlife include:

  • Hellish tycoon
  • Purification of sinful souls
  • A campaign based on Dante’s 9 circles of hell
  • A lot of black humor
  • Various torture tools
  • Managing staff and barracks
  • Online ranking
