You will enter Whispering Vaults after Cogwork Core, and it serves as a connection between many late-game areas like Bilewater and Sinner’s Road. Whispering Vaults Map Guide – Hollow Knight: Silksong
We will start in the area with the big cog, which can be rotated around using the switch. This big cog has a platform that connects Cogwork Core with Whispering Vaults. We have marked its location on the map below:
Cross the platform and enter the next room. Keep sprinting to the right until you come to a high wall. Start climbing this wall to go up.
Above this wall, go left until you come to an area filled with spikes. Jump and glide across the spikes to reach the wall on the other side, and then use it to go up.
Once you are up, sprint right to reach the end of the room and then drop down the platforms.
At the bottom, hit the wall on the left side, and it will open a shortcut for you. Now, proceed back on the right side to enter the next area. Keep going, and soon you will get the area notification saying Whispering Vaults. Continue to the right.
In the next room, jump across the chasm, and you will come across a tough Beetle enemy. Avoid/fight it and then jump up to drop onto a platform, which you can use to climb up.
Reach the top and start heading left. Go all the way to the end, cross the chasm to find a locked chest. Interact with it, and it will tell you that this is a machine that displays a model of the Citadel. Buy this for 70 Rosary Beads and you will get the map of Whispering Vaults.
