Guacamelee! 2 Prologue Walkthrough

Our Guacamelee! 2 Prologue Walkthrough focuses on the first chapter in the main story of Guacamelee! 2 which covers the Prologue and To the Darkest Timeline.

Prologue

Right at the start of the game, you will come face to face with a familiar boss if you have played the original title. You are required to beat the boss to continue with the story. Use this boss fight to your advantage and learn all the basic moves and mechanics of the game. At the start, the boss will be in his humanoid form in which he will use two main attacks.

When he teleports to his side, he will follow it up with a punch and will often drop down from the sky creating a shockwave when he lands. Your best bet here is to avoid his attacks and then move in to attack when he is recovering from his attack. When you have dealt enough damage, he will transform into his second form.

During this phase of the battle, he will be covering most of the right side of the arena preventing your access to that area. Avoid his fireballs coming down from the sky and the purple enemies that he shoots. You will need to jump, grab the fireballs and throw them at the boss to damage him. There is no other way of dealing damage to him. Keep doing this until a cutscene is triggered marking the end of the boss battle.

After the cutscenes end, the prologue will conclude.

To the Darkest Timeline

The chapter starts when you regain control after seven years. Follow the children inside the house until you reach the dinner table. A conversation will start and after it ends, you will be able to check your map. Your next objective is to get the Avocados for Lupita. Exit the house using the door next to the dinner table and you will arrive in Agave Field.

Head to the left side of the area until you meet an old friend. Talk with him and then move on. Jump to the platforms to gain access to the church, which is located at the top of the village. Find the vendor located there and speak with him. He will tell you to ask the fellow who bought all Avocados and is now inside the church.

Enter the church and find the priest, Fray. Fray will ask you to break all barrels near him, which will cause the ground to start shaking. Head towards the exit and watch the cutscene. When the cutscene ends, fight the green skeletons to make the goat from the first game make an entrance. Follow him in the portal.

Your new objective now is to enter the portal and save the Mexiverse. Once you have entered the portal, keep following the goat who will lead you to another portal. Go through the second portal as well. This will lead you to Riviera City. Keep following the goat to the final portal, which will take you to Darkest Timeline.

Now that you are in Pueblucho in the Darkest Timeline, it is time to get started with saving the Mexiverse. Follow the goat who will lead to the right and explaining to you about your goal. Now it is time to travel to your next location, Los Manglares.
