In Ground of Aces, you will be tasked with building and micromanaging a World War II air base that is inhabited by a diverse cast of pilots and crew members. The game offers a never-ending free build mode as well as the Theatre Campaigns which will give you specific glimpses into World War II and the challenges that air bases and their crews had to face including the Battle of Britain. The game takes its inspiration from freeform base builder games like Rimworld and Going Medieval and history games like Hearts of Iron IV. The art style of the game pays homage to the ‘ligne claire’ style of Franco-Belgian comics like Biggles and Buck Danny.

Ground of Aces is currently in development, and it is planned for release in 2024. If you are interested in the game, you can head over to the Kickstarter page of the game and support the developers.
