Ghost Recon: Wildlands Operation Oracle Drops Tomorrow, Starring The Punisher’s Jon Bernthal

Ubisoft is dropping in more DLC for Ghost Recon Wildlands this week. Operation Oracle will star The Punisher’s Jon Bernthal, and you can play the DLC for free this weekend. Ubisoft also said that Operation Oracle would contain a new narrative arc and two free missions for players to try out.

The new character is introduced in this team-based stealth shooter is called Cole Walker. Portrayed by Jon Bernthal of The Punisher, Walker is sent in for a rescue mission for a Skell Tech engineer taken hostage by Unidad. Unidad is Bolivian special operations troops who hunt the player throughout the game.

Playable in single-player or co-op, Operation Oracle sends the Ghosts on a rescue mission for a Skell Tech engineer taken hostage by Unidad. This typical rescue mission will soon turn into something much bigger. Forget what you know about your enemies and friends as you meet Cole D. Walker, a Ghost Team Leader on the hunt for truth.

The DLC is free and will release tomorrow, May 2, to start an extended free weekend of all of Ghost Recon Wildlands on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The free weekend will conclude on Sunday, May 5.

This is not the first time Wildlands has brought in crossover content. Previously, a crossover event featuring Operators from Rainbow Six: Siege were brought into the game with new missions.

Here is a rundown of what to expect in Operation Oracle of Ghost Recon Wildlands:

Welcome to Operation Oracle, Ghosts. With this free update to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands you will have access to two brand-new missions that will plunge you headfirst into a scenario that will challenge your perception of the truth. You will be called by Bowman to extract a Skell Tech engineer who has been arrested by Unidad. The asset has knowledge of sensitive US industrial secrets that must be protected. You will also meet Major Cole D. Walker, a fellow Ghost Team Leader with his own agenda.

  • You will be able to get this reward via the Ubisoft Club at a later date.

Other than the DLC, the update brings in a variety of fixes and minor gameplay tweaks. Ghost Recon Wildlands is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Operation Oracle will be available to download from tomorrow, May 2.
