German Retailer Lists Resident Evil 8 for PS4

Resident Evil 8 PS4

Capcom has shown a great interest in the Resident Evil franchise since the reboot of the franchise with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the success of the two remasters released later Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake. However, with the next title, it looks like Capcom is skipping the remaster and is going for a brand new title similar to Resident Evil 7. Now, a German Retailer has apparently listed Resident Evil 8 for PS4 which might have given away the name of the next title in the franchise.

The listing comes from the German retailer GamesOnly. Naturally, the listing has been taken down however we all know that when something goes online on the internet, it never goes down. The same is the fate of the recent listing of Resident Evil 8: Village by GamesOnly. The listing also reveals the cover art for the game but we are sure that it might be just temporary and the official artwork will differ when the game is finally announced officially. Description of the game states:

It should be by far the darkest and cruelest part of the Resident Evil series… stay tuned … …

This looks made up as well and it does not look like an official description of the game by any means. You should take this with a grain of salt because this is not an official listing. Nothing from this listing looks official in any way. Rumors are still circulating about a brand new Resident Evil title or a Resident Evil 4 Remaster

Resident Evil 8 PS4

We will not know for sure until Capcom announces the title officially. There was a chance of an announcement at the recently canceled PS5 game announcement event but now we are looking forward to the future when we might get an official announcement.

Would you prefer a brand new title Resident Evil 8 next or would you prefer Capcom bringing back Resident Evil 4 as a Remake? Let us know in the comments section below.
