Nihon Falcom has released a brand new theme for PS4 in celebration of the release of Ys: Memories of Celceta remaster for PS4. The theme is available to all PSN accounts for Japan free of cost. However, if you are based outside Japan, you can still get them through a small method detailed below.
The free theme is static and it features the franchise’s protagonist Adol Christin along with a custom music and icons. The theme music featured is the Theme of Adol 1993 which is one of the best soundtracks in the franchise. The theme is free and available right now on the Japanese PSN store. If you have a Japanese PSN id, all you need to do is head to the store and download the theme right now.
If you do not have a Japanese PSN account at this moment, you can simply create one. Account creation is free and all you need to do is choose Japan while creating your account. However, make sure that you create your account on a PC because in this way you can use Google Translate to translate because once you select Japanese, the entire account creation process will be in Japanese.
Once your Japanese PSN id is all ready to sign it, head to the links to purchase and add the free theme and the free Prinny and Lucky Board avatar. Add them to your account and finally boot up your PS4. Create a new user and use your new Japanese ID to sign in. Just like the PSN account creation, the rest of the process will be in Japanese however once you have signed in, the language will be back to English for your Japanese ID as well.
Now you can change your theme as you do normally for your primary account. If your PS4 is set as Primary with your JPSN ID, you should be able to use the theme with any signed-in account on the PS4. It is worth creating a Japanese store ID because sometimes you get amazing free stuff only at Japanese PSN ID. You can add the theme to your account using a PC as well by heading to PSN Japan.
You can also nab a free God of War Theme and Game of Throne theme and avatars as well however you must hurry as the Game of Thrones Theme and Avatars is available for a limited time only. Also, if you hurry up, you can grab the Nippon Ichi’s Disgaea theme as well which is a monthly theme. You can also get the free Ace Combat 7 theme and Sword Art Online themes which are still available on the store.
