Fortnite Shadow Stones Disabled after Invisibility Glitch Reported by Players

Shadow Stones

The season 6 of Fortnite Battle Royale was released yesterday with a ton of items and new places in the map. However in less than 24 hours, after reports of a glitch, Epic has disabled the Shadow Stones which were also newly introduced.

Shadow Stones, when consumed, made the players kind of invisible and allowed them to zip through walls and objects while being immune to damage. The players are not entirely invisible which doesn’t make tracking impossible.

However, due a glitch reported by multiple players, and as highlighted by a Reddit user Sammmmie, Consuming Shadow Stones would make the players completely invisible and untraceable. This unbalanced the game and prompted Epic to immediately disable the Stones.

Please fix this glitch. Their whole squad was perma invisible from FortNiteBR

The glitch appeared to occur any time somebody got downed shortly after grabbing a Shadow Stone. If revived by a teammate, players would remain fully invisible, even while moving, and were able to use all the abilities in the game. Epic also said in a tweet that they are disabling the Shadow Stones temporarily until a fix can be found. We will hope to see this item return soon as it was a unique featuring introduced yesterday.
