After much delays and wait, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is finally here and it brings a fresh new look at the game with tons of new features and mechanics. Following the latest Apocalypse event of Fortnite, the game now has a brand-new look along with many new places, tons of new activities, and brand-new enemies for you to find and kill.
The new season is dubbed Splashdown and as the title suggests, the game is all about cooling down in the water as most of the Island is now underwater. With half of the island now underwater, new locations have emerged in their place suiting the new changes to the map and for players to explore. With roads and pathways underwater, new ways of exploration such as riding sharks have also been added to the game. You can ride around these sharks by latching onto your fishing rods and catching a quick ride across the water.
Locations around the maps have new names now as well. We have listed them below:

- Frenzy Farm
- Holly Hedges
- Lazy Lake
- Misty Meadows
- Pleasant Park
- Retail Row
- Rickety Rig
- Salty Springs
- Steamy Stacks
- Sweaty Sands
- The Authority
- The Fortilla
With the agents now gone, their place has been taken by newer and deadlier enemies called the Marauders. The Marauders crash down onto the island and they will make your survival much harder as you fight enemy players and Marauders at the same time. The locations that are underground are not technically lost forever. As the season progresses, the water will eventually recede giving you access to these locations along with access to vehicles.
While Epic Games refers to cars as ‘new ways to get around’ but a new picture releases clearly shows players driving around in a sports car and a utility truck so it means that vehicles are officially coming to Fortnite as well in the new season. Another new feature added to the game is Build-A-Brella. With this brand-new feature, you can level up and complete challenges to build your very own Umbrella. Different customization options will be available to you however selections are permanent once you choose them.
