Publisher Hitcents and developer ThroughLine Games have announced the release window for their upcoming title Forgotlings. Forgotlings is an upcoming fantasy action-adventure game and it will release on PC and consoles in early 2024. It is a breathtaking cinematic action-adventure set in a magical land where you will find forgotten objects. Forgotlings invites players to step into the Forgotten Lands as Fig, a gifted posing doll on a quest to unite different tribes of forgotlings against an enigmatic beast that is on its path to engulf the world in darkness. As the forgotlings are severed from their human owners and are struggling for survival, all of their hopes now lie with the player. You will take charge of your very own ship called The Volare and use it as a base of operations alongside your crew of forgotlings. You will save settlements from pesky bandits and other critters as you fight using mechanics that blend hack-and-slash with strategy and stealth.
The world of Forgotlings is a 2.5D semi-open Metroidvania where you will choose your next destination and uncover secrets that lie buried between the desert Dunes or climb the magnificent Agor Mountains and explore the majestic Falls. Apart from your main quest, exploration will also give you plenty of side quests that you can complete to learn more about the world around you. You can also challenge fellow forgotlings to a game of INA and earn a reputation. The game features thousands of traditionally hand-drawn animation frames combined with full voice acting and a score featuring the choir ensemble Theatre of Voices.
