Firewatch releases on Nintendo Switch

Best Indie Game 2016 Golden Joystick Awards winner Firewatch releases on Nintendo Switch this December. Firewatch will launch on December 17 for all regions. Players can buy the game from Nintendo Switch eShop. The news was announced officially by developer in a tweet.

Campo Santo recently announced that Firewatch will be available for Nintendo Switch console owners by December 17, 2018. The tweet announcement spread like wildfire and fans of Firewatch can not wait to play it on the move.

Firewatch releases on Nintendo Switch simultaneously across the Americas, Australia, Europe, and Japan. The game was announced already by Campo Santo developer to release sooner or later for Nintendo Switch. The game only required certain optimization to perform well on Nintendo Switch’s hybrid system.

The story of Firewatch follows a fire lookout named Henry. The game takes place at Shoshone National Forest, a year after the Yellowstone fires of 1988. The game is based on first person view and takes place at American state of Wyoming in 1989, one year after the largest fire in the recorded history of Yellowstone National Park in the United States.

Henry works under the supervision of Delilah and walkie-talkie is the only means of communication in the game. Your choices will affect the relationship between Henry and Delilah as story progresses.

Firewatch initially released February 9, 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows platform. The game has receieved two rewards so far and now it will release soon on Nintendo Switch console.

Developer of Firewatch, Campo Santo are working on their next project titled as Valley of the Gods. The game is scheduled for release sometime in 2019. The game is based on Indiana Jones like adventure.
