Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers director and producer Naoki Yoshida and global community producer Toshio Murouchi have shared a lot of details and videos about the upcoming expansion of the game.

The Shadowbringers expansion is set to release next month on 2 July 2019, and it also brings update 5.0 along with it. In a series of trailer shown at the Produce Live broadcast, Yoshida goes on to explain the details of the expansions, starting with the dungeons that will be included in the Shadowbringers expansion.

Following the dungeons, Yoshida goes on to showcase a new mount that is tied to the story named Amaro. So these Amaros are tied into the main story, and will be featured throughout the expansion content.

Next the producers move on to Titania, where we get to see The Dancing Plague fight. The battle ensues in a beautiful square platform that is enclosed from all corners. The fight seems to be a challenge even at Level 73 player level.

The Titania fight is followed by the extensive look at the Trust system that will allow players to challenge main scenario dungeons with their allied NPCs. The variety of NPCs available with unique actions and specialized AI. The have dialogue and banter and can react to various different situations. The producers also mention that a dungeon player with the Trust system should take around half an hour to run.

Talking more about the NPCs, if they are incapacitated, the others will try to raise them back to life and continue to fight. However, if the player is dead that the game is over and the dungeon needs to be started all over again.

To start the Trust system, you have to talk to an NPC before you attempt your dungeon. If you have already cleared the dungeon, you can bring it up from the menu. Each character is unique and have unique jobs. They can also run out of AOE attacks and deal with boss mechanics.
