Three Final Fantasy Titles Coming to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Next Week

During the X018 event, Microsoft announced that three best Final Fantasy games which include Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII are coming to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility next week.

Xbox One Backwards Compatibility was started to bring the original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles to Xbox One and the list has been growing ever since the service started. During the X018 event in New Mexico City, Microsoft revealed that three fan favorite Final Fantasy games are being added to this program so that players can enjoy these titles in their new console.

The three title include the original Final Fantasy XIII followed by XIII-2 and then Lightning Returns. The original plans were to make Final Fantasy a title not relating to any other part but XIII-2 and Lightning Returns were later revealed and launched as their stories were inter-linked with each other.

All three titles will be added to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility section next week. Another title announced by Microsoft to be coming to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility was Civilization Revolution. Although the title is already available with this program, Microsoft announced that the title is getting full HD treatment.

Players will soon be able to download the much better version of the game which takes use of Xbox One X’s advanced hardware to deliver a much better visual experience. These titles will be available free of charge to players who own the discs. They can simply pop up the disc in their console to start their download or find them in the online library and download from there.

Xbox Backwards Compatibility is currently competing directly with PS Now services and hence Microsoft is continuously increasing the number of titles in this list to make it even better.
