Publisher tinyBuild and developer Igloosoft have announced the release date for their upcoming 2D side-scrolling survival title Farworld Pioneers. Farworld Pioneers is slated for release on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on May 30, 2023. Along with this, the game will also be released on Xbox GamePass and PC as well on day one. Farworld Pioneers is a unique take on the survival genre, and you can see it for yourself in the trailer below:
In Farworld Pioneers, you crashland on an alien world with your best friend Buddy, and nothing else but a survival pod. After surviving the crash, you will need to outlast ferocious local wildlife, scavenge for invaluable resources, and conduct life-saving research to build and expand your new colony. You will explore unknown places on your own and join forces with friends to fight off enemy raids with handcrafted grenades, laser guns, and more in physics-based PvP combat. Farworld Pioneers presents a forbidden space in a vibrant, pixelated open world from the minds of former Rimworld and Starbound artists and developers.
Farworld Pioneers offers both a single-player and multiplayer experience where you can play with up to 32 players and survive together. You can create your own servers and play it however you like, or you can join random servers and play with other players on their servers. The game offers a dynamic faction system where you can join factions and fight rival factions for their resources and control. You can also stock up on resources and create your very own spaceship and use it to explore new worlds and colonize them as well. Options are limitless in the game, and this is why it looks to be a really solid game.
If you want to try out Farworld Pioneers right now, a free demo of the game is available on PC via Steam where you can also add the game to your wishlist if you are interested in playing the game when it comes out. The game will also release across all consoles as well as Game Pass for Xbox and PC.
