Epic has showed off a new LTM in Fortnite called Gateway Mode at PAX West 2018. Along with the Mode, Epic also showed new skins, and a Grappler gun. The new gameplay mode is coming in the Fortnite High Stakes event that is expected to be out for fans next week.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play 100 player mode in Fortnite. The game has one large map where 100 random players drop in; collect resources, build forts, and fight to be the last man standing. Fortnite is currently in the middle of the fifth season and Epic has been adding a lot of items and new challenges to keep the game interesting and engaging.

Fortnite Battle Royale Getaway LTM – Details

The new Getaway mode, in Fortnite Battle Royale, features a new type of gameplay plot. You will be teaming up with squads in an effort to obtain Llama Jewels that are hidden in 4 Supply Drop Safes.

Your objective is to collect the jewels and hop on a getaway van. However, the task will be easier said than done because a lot of other teams will be fighting you to get their hands on the jewel as well. The last team to have collected all the jewels and boards the getaway van wins the game.

A new weapon that looks like a grappler gun is also coming in the High Stakes event with the new Getaway mode.

The grappler gun sounds exactly like what it is supposed to do. It’s a gun with a plunger head on it that you can shoot on distant building and structures to have yourself pulled towards it and jump on an unaware enemy. It can also be used to attach you to the Getaway Van as the van is likely mid air as opposed to being on the ground.

In Addition, you can also get your hands on the Wild Card Outfit which unfortunately isn’t free and can be accessed from the Item Store in the game. The suit comes with a Cuffed Case Back Bling and a Safe Cracker Glider.
