Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Will Feature Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan as Playable Characters

It seems like Goku is not the only playable character in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, as the game will feature more characters for you to play. The news was confirmed by the latest issue of V-Jump that names Vegeta, Piccolo and Gohan among other playable characters to be coming in the game.

The additional characters can be chosen as your character of choice, and can also fulfill their role as supporting characters in battle when fighting alongside Goku. Other characters which are only supporting characters, including Krillin, Yamcha, Chiaotzu and Tien Shinhan. The can be controlled by the player’s actions through command inputs, and can also lend their hand by guarding against attacks.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is supposed to release sometime next year in 2020, though we may be getting more details, or quite possibly some gameplay footage in the upcoming Gamescom event.

We are already aware of one of the features of the game, where the character’s stats can be increased by gaining XP from battles and by eating food. The magazine also mentions that there seem to be a Pirate Robot type enemy characters that players will encounter at the base beneath the sea.

The story of the main will mainly be focused on Goku, and will be a more immersive and story-driven experience for fans. The epic battles that the game will feature will provide a more nostalgic feel to fans of the series. it also features the episode where Goku goes Saiyan for the first time, and when his friends were killed by Evil Frieza. His first fight against Vegeta is also a part of the story in the game.
