Fast-Paced Metroidvania Doomblade to be Showcased at Gamescom Next Month

DOOMBLADE PC Release Date

Independent game publisher Iceberg Interactive has announced that it will be presenting its unannounced fast-paced Metroidvania Doomblade at this year’s Gamescom event next month.

Starting from August 24 to August 26, Iceberg Interactive will have its own boot at the event, where you can meet the team, and explain with short gameplay and what you can expect from the game.

Watch the game’s trailer below:

Deep underground, Gloom Girl discovers DOOMBLADE, a sentient weapon hellbent on escape after eons in chains. Together, “Doom and Gloom” embark on a brutal quest to unlock the powers of The Void and destroy the Dread Lords once and for all in this 2D Action Metroidvania.

Players will have to help Doomblade regain its lost strength and search for the statues of the old gods where the powers are hidden and stored by the long-dead Gloomfolk.

The game will take you deep into the cavelike worlds of the Lowlands. From abandoned halls of Gloomhaunt to the New Wilderwood forest full of untrusting tribesmen. There is also the Molded Mines, with its hedonistic shroom people, while a technological hellscape awaits you called the Power Sector. With the help of the Doomblade, Gloom Girl must destroy the monsters within and hunt the Dread Lords who have imprisoned the Doomblade

Doomblade

With the help of the Doomblade, Gloom Girl can ride through the air to attack all sorts of enemies. You can also target monsters to attack them directly and slay them with the weapon’s wrath.

You can add the game to your wishlist on Steam right now, while more details are expected next month at the Gamescom event. We might get to see more gameplay trailers, and if lucky, a release date announcement.
