From Software, the developer behind Dark Souls and Bloodborne, has been busy working on a new VR game called Déraciné. This is the first time that From Software is working on a game other than the Soulborne games.
Déraciné now gets an official date and it turns out that we will be able to play the game much sooner than expected. Déraciné is slated to release in November 6, 2018 and it will come out exclusively on PS VR.
Déraciné was officially revealed during E3 2018 where the game received a reveal trailer. Déraciné is said to be a VR adventure game where players will explore a quite world brimming with mysteries. Players will be required to solve these mysteries and recall the joy of discovery.
Players will control an unseen spirit who is living with a girl at a boarding school and must try its best to maintain a healthy relationship with the students and headmaster of the boarding school. The official words of Massaki Yamagiwa who is the producer of Déraciné about the game were:
As you explore a world where time stands still, you will gather a great number of hints, and a story will emerge as you put these fragments of information together, then this story will deepen, and elements that you initially thought were simple will take on greater meaning. The core of this experience is found in the small epiphanies — the moments when the dots connect and you learn something new
The game will feature a different number of puzzles in each level, which will become harder as the players progress through the game. The developers of the game are making sure that the game is as polished as it could be when it comes out as the game is reaching the final stages of its development.
Déraciné features visuals set in sepia tone that give a very soft touch to the visuals and really give you feeling about you being in that specific time stamp where the game is set. The environments look amazing and so is the level design. For a game being set in a single boarding school, a lot of attention has been given to make the game look as amazing as possible.
Déraciné, a PS VR exclusive title from the developers From Software, will hit the stores on November 6, 2018. It will set you back 30$.
