Lust Boss Battle Guide – Darksiders III

Our Darksiders III Lust Boss Battle Guide details everything that you need to know about defeating Lust, the fifth of the sins in Darksiders III.

Lust’s Move List

We have detailed Lust’s basic attacks below.

Backhand Spin Slash

During the battle, Lust will rise in the air and start spinning swiftly with her sword outwards in the form of a backhand sweep. Lookout when she is rising up and her sword is not facing down.

Dashing Jump Slash

Lust will close in on your location suddenly by dashing ahead and will perform a slashing attack as she lands down.

Flipping Slash

For this attack, Lust will fly in the air and then land a slashing attack after doing a front flip in front of Fury.

Charged Slam

Lust will charge with her sword raised towards Fury. Dodge and you can avoid this attack easily.

Boss Battle Tips

Lust’s most dangerous attacks involve her sword and she is a very good fighter with her sword. She can also leap in the air for performing different slashing attacks. Her attack speed is also very high and she will deal quite a lot of damage even with her lesser attacks. We recommend that you use a Fortification shard right at the start of the battle.

Take some time getting used to Lust’s speed and her jumping abilities. During the fight, Lust will use her sword to block your attacks. Her sword will be mostly facing downwards but if it is not facing downwards, she is getting ready for a Backhand Spin Slash attack. Charged Salvation attacks work best on her.

Even if she blocks the initial attack, the weapon on the way back can hit her which will deal a decent amount of damage to her. If you are lucky, you can even interrupt her attack with this charged attack. Keep on the defensive with Lust and maintain a good distance. Set her on fire using the Immolation attack and then follow up with a combo to put in some flame damage with it.

After her health has dropped to around half, Usiel will jump in the arena to help Fury but falls prey to Lust and joins her instead. Now you will need to face them both. Usiel will attack with his massive bell although he is slow and can hardly keep up with the two, he will still annoy you a lot of deal some damage if he manages to hit you. Use Havoc form but focus all your attacks on Lust instead of Usiel.

It is very much possible to kill Lust without even touching Usiel. Since Usiel is slow, you can lure Lust away from her and focus on just her. Usiel will take him sweet time to get near both of you. Using this method, you can easily kill just Lust and save Usiel for a favor later in the game. If Usiel gets close, dodge his bell and lure Lust further away from him.

Keep this going and you will soon defeat Lust without even touching Usiel. Once Lust is dead, a cutscene will trigger and you will not need to attack and kill Usiel. Come to him later and he will give you a Fafnir enhancement.
