CD Projekt Red has announced that their upcoming open-world RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again by at least 2 months. The new release date of Cyberpunk 2077 is now November 19, 2020. The decision to delay the game was announced on the game’s official Twitter account by Marcin Iwinski, Co-Founder and Adam Badowski, Head of Studio at CD Project Red.

Both issued a joint statement saying that they want to ensure that every last bit of the game is in perfect working condition and there are no annoying bugs hiding here and there. According to them, the game is complete in terms of content and gameplay-wise however they need a little more time to iron out a few details because the quests, the cutscenes, the skills and items and all the other content the game has makes it a huge title with lots and lots of careful quality control. The additional time will solely be used for ironing out these annoying bugs and ensuring that the game is as good as possible when it comes out later this year.

Fans have been quite supportive of the developer’s decision saying that it is always a good decision to delay a game rather than just release a buggy game. With the amount of complexity and detail Cyberpunk 2077 offers, we are sure that CD Projekt 2077 wants to ensure that every bit of the game is as polished as it can be. This is always a difficult decision but sometimes it is the most important one to make and we are glad that CD Projekt Red has taken this decision to get a little more time and make the game as good as possible for us.
