Command & Conquer Will Get Remastered Version – Play it in 4K Glory

The original Command & Conquer released way back in 1995. The first game defined and popularized the real-time strategy genre. EA Electronics has now confirmed that they will remaster the original game. Petroglyph Games will handle the 4K remaster version making of Command & Conquer.

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert will both release in a single bundle. The remastered bundle will not contain any sorts of micro-transactions. There will also be addition of expansions such as: Covert Ops, Counterstrike and Aftermath, at no additional cost.

EA did not announce the release date for the remastered version of the game. However, EA Creative Director Jim Vessella, said that the development has not even started. Fans should not expect the remastered version anytime soon.

Vessella also mentioned that:

Community is getting in on the ground floor of this project and have every opportunity to help influence how we build this remastered experience

Petroglyph Games are the developers behind strategy games like Star Wars: Empire at War, Guardians of Graxia and Grey Goo. The studio has many people whose histories are tied to Command & Conquer background and its development back in 1995.

In addition to Petroglyph, Jim Vessella also said that, they will also partner with Lemon Sky Studios to bring classic games back to 4K glory. Lemon Sky is one of the premier art studios around the world. They have a unique mastery over bringing classic RTS titles to 4K glory.

Lemon Sky Studios will team up with Petroglyph Games in bringing the original two games to 4K resolution. Jim Vessella hopes that both of the studios will produce high quality of C&C remaster version.
