ININ Games has announced the release of one of the rarest games in arcade history Cannon Dancer on PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Cannon Dancer is releasing both digitally and physically on April 13, 2023, on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox consoles. The physical releases of Cannon Dancer is limited to just PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch and the game will only release digitally on Xbox. Cannon Dancer is also known as Osman in the West.
To celebrate the launch of this classic after almost 30 years, ININ Games has shared a brand-new trailer of Cannon Dancer as well that showcases gameplay and enhanced features coming in the new release. Check it out below:
For the modern release of Cannon Dancer, ININ Games is teaming up with the two key members of the original development team to finally re-release this lost classic and bring it to modern players. The game designer Kouichi Yotsui (also known as ‘Isuke’ and famous for his work on Strider) and the artist Utata Kiyoshi are teaming up with ININ Games for the upcoming release. The game will have many added features and enhancements that were not available in the original Arcade release.
The new, faithfully ported version of Cannon Dancer will support the in-game English language along with the original Japanese and both languages will be available in standard and challenge modes. Apart from this, new features and enhancements include:
- Save States
- Rewind Feature
- Controller Vibration
- Customizable Controls
- Graphic Filters & Shaders
- Double Jump
- Invincible Jump
- Invincible Slide
- Invincible Attack
- Auto Attack [Speed 1 – 5]
- Extra Credits
For hardcore fans and collectors, Strictly Limited Games is also releasing exclusive physical versions for PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. There will be a Limited Edition for PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch which will include a standard physical copy and a colorful game manual. The PS4 and PS5 versions of the Limited Edition are limited to just 1,500 copies while the Nintendo Switch Limited Edition is limited to 2,000 copies worldwide.
All three will set you back €29.99. For more hardcore collectors, there is an exclusive Collector’s Edition of the game which comes loaded with extra goodies. The Collector’s Edition is limited to 750 units each for PS4 and PS5 and 2,000 units for Nintendo Switch. These include:

- Cannon Dancer – Osman on cartridge / disc in a game case with an exclusive and limited cover sheet by Yotsui-san.
