Borderlands 2 VR Is Coming to PlayStation VR in December

While the whole world was looking forward for Borderlands 3, 2K has unexpectedly announced a VR version of the 2012 Borderlands 2 called as Borderlands 2 VR which is coming out in December 2018 exclusively for the PlayStation VR.

The game is developed by Gearbox and will have special features exclusively for use with the VR system. Players will be able to play the game as a Vault Hunter who is trying to free Pandora from Handsome Jack’s control.

Some exclusive features coming to the VR adaptation of Borderlands 2 include the ability to slow down time and move around in an instant using the pointed teleportation system. Pointed teleportation is a common feature for most VR games but Borderlands 2 VR gives you the ability to switch between both types of movements.

All four classes from the original game are present in the VR version which include Siren, Commando, Gunzerker and Assassin. Apart from other abilities, the time slowing ability has been added to each of the character classes.

The game will also feature vehicles which will be driven in first person mode unlike the third person view of the original game. You will be able to control the car with the joystick or the aim weapons of the headset. Menu controls will include pointing, dragging, dropping and clicking.

The VR version will be the complete Borderlands 2 experience but in VR with some special features. In the time slow feature, you will be able to dodge incoming bullets, headshot enemies with ease or simply kill many enemies at the same time using your skills.

Borderlands 2 will be single player only and there is no multiplayer or online option in the game. Also, Gearbox has not announced whether they will be releasing Borderlands 2 VR on other VR headsets such as HTC Vive or not.

Borderlands 2 VR is coming out in December 2018 and right in the holiday season.
