Bethesda Confirms Next Wolfenstein game to Release On Switch Also, Fallout 76 Will Not Come

Pete Hines, Vice President at Bethesda has confirmed that the next installment in Wolfenstein game will also release on Nintendo Switch. This was announced at PAX Australia, which took place this weekend.

Pete Hines opened up about the next Wolfenstein game news while talking about Doom. Talking about the Doom, he said when the game was in developemnet back in 2016, the studio knew about Nintendo Switch. He said the studio was able to modify few changes in Doom and scale it at the level of Nintendo Switch, not more, not less, just right.

Pete Hines further said:

That’s also why the next Wolfenstein is going to be out on Switch as well, and that’s why Doom Eternal was announced, and in that case, not just as a port but as something that – for the first time we’re building a game from scratch that really has the Switch in mind

Fallout 76 releases November 14, 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Steam platform. Pete Hines also talked about Fallout 76 and its possiblity on Nintendo Switch. He mentioned that the game will not come on Nintendo Switch. In his words for Fallout 76, he said: ”just wasn’t doable”.

Bethesda Games studio places Fallout 76 as a prequel to other games. Fallout series have remained story based action role playing game. The series takes another turn with Fallout 76. The game will be online multiplayer RPG and not a single player story driven.

Bethesda Game uses Creation Engine for Fallout 76. The same engine was used previously in Fallout 4. However, game director Todd Howard has mentioned that Fallout 76 engine will allow 16 times more details in rendering and lighting than Fallout 4.
