Timeless Toucan, the developer behind the highly anticipated co-op roguelite card game Azoove, is set to shuffle cards and spark consequential conversations as the game launches on Steam Early Access on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Azoove invites players to embark on a perilous journey through cursed desert dunes, where survival hinges on cooperative gameplay and strategic decision-making.

Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux (compatible with Steam Deck), Azoove offers a unique blend of card-based mechanics and cooperative exploration. Players can collaborate with a partner in online co-op mode as they navigate the treacherous desert landscape, managing their health, resources, and mental composure to overcome a calamitous curse.

In Azoove, players must work together to face new disasters each day, drawing on luck and intelligent collaboration to survive. With a hand of numbered cards granting Action Points at the start of each day, players must strategically choose which Opportunity cards to share and play. However, communication between adventurers is restricted, adding an extra layer of challenge and complexity reminiscent of tabletop gaming experiences.

The game features four unique heroes, each with their own Hero Powers that can turn the tide of battle. From conjuring rations to powerful meditations and group healing abilities, players must leverage their heroes’ strengths wisely to overcome the challenges ahead. Action Points are a precious resource that must be managed carefully, as they do not carry over to the next day.

Azoove offers multiple difficulty levels and the option to play with a friend or AI partner, providing ample replay value and opportunities for strategic experimentation. Players can earn points from each playthrough to build up their deck, enhancing their chances of survival in future runs.
